The image you have of your marriage has been shattered.
Now you are asking yourself how to pick up the pieces.
Start Counseling for Affair Recovery
Maybe you have just discovered your partner’s pornography addiction; or perhaps you have just come across texts or emails from their affair partner. Betrayal can happen in more than one way within a relationship:
-
Infidelity
-
Pornography and/or sex addiction
-
Financial betrayal
-
Hidden addictions
-
Long kept secrets that have recently been revealed
Whether you are the partner that has been unfaithful or the one who has been betrayed, we can work together through the process of creating a truthful baseline from which you can heal. The focus of our work will be to help you understand what happened, make sense of how you got there as a couple, and support you as you co-create a new and healthy version of your relationship.
We'll help you create safety and stability for yourself, and then walk with you through the recovery process. What you can expect from the process.

What is Couples Therapy and How does it work?As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Level 2 Gottman trained practitioner, Michelle provides specialized support to help couples strengthen their relationships and resolve conflicts. The Gottman Method is a research based approach to couples therapy and focuses on enhancing three essential areas: building friendships and intimacy, managing conflict constructively, and creating shared meaning and purpose in the relationship. Therapy will consider how factors such as family of origin dynamics (the framework you grew up in), past experiences, trauma, and external stressors affect the relationship. By understanding these influences, couples will discuss how they shape their interactions and work together to create healthier patterns that support both partners’ needs. In addition to regular couples therapy sessions, each partner may also be asked to attend a few individual sessions to supplement progress. This will allow me to get to know each individual better, assess each of your personal needs, and develop the very best treatment plan moving forward. Whether you are married or dating and struggling with communication issues, feeling stuck in conflict, emotional disconnection, or major life changes, my approach combines interventions from a holistic view of your relationship, helping you grow and build a healthy relationship TOGETHER.

How long does couples counseling last? The duration is dependent on the couples’ needs, the challenges they’d like to work through, and the pace of their progress. I recommend that couples commit to a minimum of 6 consecutive sessions to get started.
